
Salvador Vázquez and Javier Comesaña, new artists of MUSIESPAÑA
Maestro Salvador Vázquez is recognized as one of the most vibrant and charismatic artists of the new generation of conductors in Spain, with a special enthusiasm for opera. Among his upcoming projects are the direction of Il barbiere di Siviglia in Malaga and La vida breve in Seville. For his part, the young violinist Javier Comesaña has been the winner of the Jascha Heifetz International Competition in Vilnius (2021), the Prinz von Hessen-Preis awarded by the Kronberg Academy and the Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition.
Guillermo García Calvo presents two important recording projects
The opera Elena e Malvina by Ramón Carnicer recorded with the Orquesta y Coro Nacionales de España and the first recording of the orchestral songs by Hans Sommer with the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin are the new albums conducted by maestro García Calvo that have just been published.

The Fundación BBVA has presented its 2022/2023 Music Season with 38 concerts, which will take place at the Palacio del Marqués de Salamanca in Madrid, covering 800 years of musical history and with maestro Santiago Serrate as artistic director.
Juanjo Mena conducts the BBC Philharmonic at BBC Proms
Juanjo Mena returns to the Royal Albert Hall on the 18 July to conduct the BBC Philharmonic at the BBC Proms. The evening begins with Webern’s orchestration of Bach’s Ricercar a 6, and James MacMillan’s Viola Concerto, with its dedicatee Lawrence Power as soloist. The climax of the concert is Bruckner’s mighty Sixth Symphony, which Mena recorded with the BBC Philharmonic to great critical acclaim.
Long-awaited debut of Juanjo Mena at the Teatro Real in Madrid with «Jeanne d’Arc au bûcher»
The oratorio will be performed on June 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, 16 and 17, with a cast led by French actress Marion Cotillard.
