PABLO GONZÁLEZ. Emotion, his way of expression.

On October 7 and 8, with Hector Berlioz’s Summer Nights op.7 and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 op.68 “Pastoral”, will begin the very attractive and important musical program that maestro Pablo González has designed for the next season of concerts of the Orquesta Sinfónica RTVE, entitled «Echoes of the Belle Époque» / «Planet Earth»

On October 14 and 15, along with the absolute premiere of “El Belvedere de Escher”, by Octavi Rumbau Masgrau, the winning work of the XXXVIII Reina Sofía Prize for Musical Composition, in collaboration with the Fundación de Música Ferrer-Salat, he will conduct works by Ravel, Franck, Dukas, Saint-Säens and Fauré.

Camille Saint-Säens’s Symphony No. 3 with Organ Op.78, The Song of Destiny Op.54 (Brahms), The Song of the Earth (Gustav Mahler), Symphony No. 7 in C Major Op.60 “Leningrad” ( Shostakovich), the Double concert for accordion and cello by Jesús Torres, La mer (Debussy) and Tierra, by Jesús Rueda, among others, will complete the programs in which the Asturian maestro will conduct his orchestra.

The opera Carmen, by G. Bizet, in a concert version, will close the season of the Orquesta y Coro RTVE. A wonderful cast, starring the great Georgian mezzo soprano Ketevan Kemoklidze, the tenor Dmytro Popov (Don José), the soprano María José Moreno (Micaela), the bass-baritone Kyle Ketelsen (Escamillo) and a group of other wonderful singers, all of them conducted by Pablo González, who will perform a version of the highest musical level.

Pablo González will also be in charge of inaugurating the concert season of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Cstilla y León (OSCyL), conducting the same program that was chosen 30 years ago for the debut of this important Spanish orchestra, which took place in the Teatro Calderón in Valladolid on September 12, 1991 under the conduction of maestro Max Bragado Darman:

This same program to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the OSCyL will be performed at the 29th edition of the Otoño Musical Soriano / International Music Festival of Castilla y León on September 26.

The Orquesta Nacional de España, the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, la Orquesta Sinfónica de Bilbao, la Orquesta de Extremadura, among others, are also part of the 2021/2022 agenda of maesro González, as well as the Helsinki Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (Cadogan Hall), Liege Philharmonique, with Frank Peter Zimmermann performing as soloist, Musikkollegium Winterthur, Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, Symphoniker Hamburg, etc.
