Maestro Christoph Koenig will conduct Stabat Mater by Dvorák for the Orquesta y Coro RTVE on February 24 and 25
Together with a group of magnificent singers and leading the Orquesta y Coro RTVE, the German maestro Cristoph König returns to Madrid to conduct one of the most important choral symphonic works by the Czech composer born in Prague in 1841, being the first time that the author of the “New World Symphony” composed a work with a religious theme.
After the death of his daughter Josefa in 1875, Antonín Dvorák began to write his Stabat Mater, divided into ten parts.
