BIO

Celia Llácer began her conducting studies with Maestro Borja Quintas and earned her Master’s degree in conducting at the University of the Arts in Zurich, where she studied with Professors Johannes Schlaefli and Christoph-Mathias Mueller. She has participated in masterclasses with Jaap van Zweden, Emmanuel Villaume, James Lowe, Bruno Aprea, Nuno Coelho, and Dinis Sousa.

She has conducted orchestras including the Dallas Opera, Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, Göttinger Symphonieorchester, the Boston University Tanglewood Institute Orchestra, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra, Hradec Králové Philharmonic Orchestra and the Schweizer Jugend-Sinfonie-Orchester.

During the season2025/27, she serves as Assistant Conductor of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra under Maestro Thomas Søndergård. She previously worked with the Schweizer Jugend-Sinfonie-Orchester and the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège during the 2023/24 season in collaboration with Maestro Gergely Madaras, and served as Chief Conductor of the Junges Kammerorchester Ostschweiz in the 2024/25 season.

In 2024, she conducted the Gstaad Festival Orchestra as part of the Gstaad Conducting Academy. In 2023, she was selected for the Linda and Mitch Hart Institute at The Dallas Opera and appeared at the Tanglewood Festival with the Young Artists Orchestra of the Tanglewood Institute at Boston University.

Celia is deeply committed to contemporary music and artistic collaboration. In 2025, she took part in the Festival Ensemble(s), where she premiered new works by Daniel Arango Prada and Farnaz Modarresifar, deepening her commitment to working closely with living composers and new repertoire.
