After the success obtained in the Saint-Saëns opera, the Spanish mezzo-soprano awaits important appointments in the coming months.

The main female role of the opera «Sansón y Dalila», for which Cristina Faus was recently acclaimed at the Festival Internacional de Teatro de Mérida, will be followed by other roles that the singer will perform during the summer and next fall. At the end of July she will play the role of Suzuki in the opera «Madama Butterfly» by Puccini at the Teatro Auditorio de El Escorial and, later, at the Kursaal, within the Quincena Musical of San Sebastián.

Later, she will sing at the Opera of Oviedo the First Norna of «The Twilight of the Gods» by Richard Wagner and debut at the Ópera Nacional (Peru), playing in Lima the role of «The Perichole» by Jacques Offenbach.

«María, de García a Malibrán» is the title of the various recitals that Cristina Faus, together with the harpist José Antonio Domené, will offer, among other venues, at the Teatro de la Zarzuela. In November, the Ninth Symphony by Beethoven, with the Orchestra of Valencia conducted by maestro Ramón Tebar, will give way to a 2020 full of important artistic events.
