BIO
Born in Úbeda (Spain). He completed his studies in Music and Singing in Málaga and extended his training for two courses at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid.
Winner of the IX Singing Competition “Nuevas Voces” Ciudad de Sevilla in 2011, he has developed his career as a soloist at the Teatro Real, Teatro de la Zarzuela, Auditorio Nacional, Teatro del Liceu, Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao, Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo, Palau de les Arts in Valencia, Teatro Principal in Palma de Mallorca, Teatro Pérez Galdós in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Teatro Cervantes in Málaga, Auditorio de Tenerife, Teatro Villamarta in Jerez, Teatro Calderón in Valladolid, among others. Outside Spain, he has sung at the Sao Carlo Theatre in Lisbon, in Chicago, Kansas City (1st International Festival of Spanish and Latin American Music), New Orleans, the Cervantes Institute in Berlin and the Portuguese Festival Terras Sem Sombra. He has been invited by the Quincena Musical de San Sebastián, the Fundación Juan March, the San Lorenzo de El Escorial Summer Festival, the Festival Internacional de Musica y Danza de Granada, the Festival de Música y Danza de Úbeda, the Festival de Otoño de Jaén, among others. Among the main opera roles he has performed, the following stand out: Rigoletto (Rigoletto), Germont (La Traviata), Rodrigo (Don Carlo), Renato (Un Ballo in Maschera), High Priest (Samson and Dalila), Marcello (La Bohème), Sharpless (Madama Butterfly), Malatesta (Don Pasquale), Belcore (L’elisir d’amore), Guglielmo (Così fan tutte). While in Zarzuela, he tackled roles such as Roque (Marina), Juan de Eguía (La Tabernera del Puerto), Julián (La Verbena de la Paloma), Juan Pedro (La Rosa del Azafrán) or Sultan (Benamor). His vocal versatility also allows him to cover a repertoire of genres such as Oratorio and Concert Song, highlighting his interpretations of the leading cycles Die Schöne Müllerin and Winterreise, by F. Schubert.

Among his recordings, it is worth highlighting La Llama (Usandizaga), with the Deutsche Grammophon label; Mirentxu (Guridi) and Passio Christi (Frisina), with IBS Classical.
He has been conducted by maestros such as: Michel Plason, Ives Abel, Jean Ives Ossonce, Massimo Zanetti, Keri Lynn Wilson, Renato Palumbo, Henrik Nánási, Giampaolo Bisanti, James Gaffigan, David Afkham, Miguel Ángel Gómez Martínez, Josep Pons, Pedro Halffter, Manuel Hernández Silva, Ramón Tebar, José Miguel Pé-rez-Sierra, Óliver Díaz; and by Stage directors such as: Emilio Sagi, José Carlos Plaza, Willy Decker, Calixto Bieito, Bruno Berger, Davide Livermoor, Pier Luigi Pizzi, Paco Azorín, Albert Boadella, among others.
Recently, he has debuted in roles such as Lescaut (Manon), Sulpice (La Fille du Regime) or Trabucos (The Magic Opal) and has participated in the opera seasons of ABAO in Bilbao (Malatesta) and Palau de les Arts in Valencia (Schaunard). In addition, he was invited by the Spanish Lyric Theatre Festival in Oviedo, with the works María Moliner, El Caserío and La Rosa del Azafrán. He has worked with the Orquesta y Coro RTVE in Oedipus Rex at the Quincena Musical de San Sebastián, the opera Goyescas in Oviedo, Madama Butterfly in Oporto, L’elisir d’amore in A Coruña, Don Pasquale in Bilbao and Lucia di Lammermoor in Zaragoza.
Among his most recent engagements, it is worth highlighting Iphigenie en Tauride at the Maestranza in Seville, a concert with the Orquesta y Coro RTVE and Goyescas at the Teatro Cervantes in Malaga.
