BIO
Born in San Sebastián (Spain), he began his training in his homeland with the Easo Choir, under the guidance of Gorka Miranda. He also worked with soprano Miren Urbieta-Vega and organist Ana Belén García. He later moved to the Escuela Superior de Canto de Madrid.
He received a scholarship from the prestigious Britten Pears Arts Foundation to work on chamber repertoire with James Gilchrist and Anna Tilbrook, where he was awarded a concert at the festival, performing F. Schubert’s Die Schöne Müllerin with pianist Siyuan Xu.
He forms a duo with theorbist Sergio Bermúdez, with whom he has performed various concert programs dedicated to Purcell, Bach, and the music of the French «Air de Cour.» He has also performed in Spain and Switzerland.
Also noteworthy is his fruitful relationship with pianist Aurelio Viribay, with whom, in addition to offering iconic song cycles from F. Schubert to B. Britten, he has revived and performed a large amount of 20th-century Basque music.

His encounter with Eduardo López Banzo led him to participate in the revival of A. Scarlatti’s Il martirio di Santa Teodosia, performing it in various venues.
His recent engagements include participation in the Quincena Musical de San Sebastián, the Festival Internacional de Música yDanza de Granada and the Atelier Konzert in Basel. He has worked with maestros such as Carlos Mena, Andrew Griffiths and Eduardo López Banzo.
